What happens if something goes wrong with a purchase or booking.
Effective September 21, 2026. CarRisk reviews refund and cancellation requests based on the product purchased and whether the service has already been delivered or materially started.
Digital products
For digital products such as Vehicle Reports, Quote Checker reviews, Guided Inspection access and Photo Damage Assessments, a refund is not automatically available after the purchased result, credit, pass or assessment has been successfully generated, unlocked or materially used. If you experience a duplicate charge, verified payment with no delivered access, or a technical failure that prevents CarRisk from providing the purchased service, contact us so the transaction can be reviewed.
Buyer Package
If no Buyer Package credit has been redeemed, contact CarRisk promptly to request review of a cancellation. Once report or inspection credits have been used, any refund consideration will take the redeemed value and circumstances into account.
Appointment-based services
For pre-purchase inspections, appraisals and other booked in-person services, contact CarRisk as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. If work has not started and no non-recoverable third-party cost has been incurred, CarRisk will review the request for cancellation or rescheduling. If work has started, travel has occurred, or a third-party cost has already been incurred for your appointment, that portion may not be refundable.
Repair-credit promotions
Where a product states that an assessment fee will be credited toward a completed repair through CarRisk, the credit applies to the qualifying completed repair described in the offer and is not the same as a cash refund.
How to request a review
Email info@carriskcheck.ca with the email used for purchase, the product or booking, and a short explanation. Do not email full payment-card numbers.
